Marshalling

The British Motorsport Marshals Club is the main channel through which marshals get information about the hundreds of motorsport meetings held throughout Britain each year.

Details of events are circulated to BMMC members through the Club's regional magazines and by organising clubs who send volunteering forms detailing all their meetings directly to BMMC members before each new motor racing season begins.

Members can volunteer directly to the clubs or through the BMMC, which also provides insurance cover for members while they are travelling to and from meetings and while they are marshalling.

BMMC members marshal at meetings ranging from small club events to prestigious international events like Formula One Grand Prix, top sports car and touring car meetings and the Rally of Great Britain. Some members attend only a handful of meetings each year, while others could notch up 70 or more days marshalling over the same period, both in the UK and abroad.

Q. What is a Marshal?
