Changes to The MSA Marshals Grading System

The current MSA Marshals Registration & Grading Scheme was introduced in January 2007. Since its implementation it’s evolved into a common framework, providing greater consistency for marshals involved in almost every type of motorsport. To ensure the scheme always provides the highest levels of support, the MSA Marshals Working Group was established to guide its ongoing development. Headed by Chris Hobson, the BMMC’s National Chairman, this dedicated team continuously monitors its operation, evaluate results and where necessary, advise on any amendments or improvements required.



In January 2010 the group introduced changes to the upgrading assessment procedure for all race marshal disciplines. A guide to these can be downloaded here. This is essential reading for both assessors and those marshals seeking an upgrade.
