NATIONAL GRADING OFFICER
Hi everyone it’s that time of year to send a message from the National Grading Officer.
The new MSA Grading Scheme is now in use and appears to have settled down OK. If you have any queries concerning your grade etc. then please contact you Regional Grading Officer and it will be investigated.
Currently I have no outstanding upgrades (except for two for Exam Post Chief) therefore you should all be happy on that point.
I hope every member has a Grading Badge, which means that you are recorded on the club’s database.
However I have yet to receive the MSA NATIONAL MARSHAL’S REGISTER FORM from a number of new members. This means that you have not been recorded on the club’s Grading database nor on the MSA’s. Those of you that may be unsure if you sent a form in or not then one easy identification is that you will not have received a clubs grading badge. For a Trainee this will be white plastic with green writing and a green Dymo tape with your name on it. To rectify this matter download a form from the club’s website or that of the MSA and send it directly to me.
Due to the illness of Sue Whitlock the new membership registrations have been delayed. With Fay Crook stepping into the chair so to speak we were up to October ’09 with said registrations by January. So those of you that sent in membership forms etc after October but have not heard further please bare with us as Fay has recently stepped down from this role and has passed the reigns over to Paul Sutcliffe who is doing a great job and is catching up. In turn I can’t do my part with the database until all the details have been recorded.
UPGRADES
WITH EVERY UPGRADE REQUEST THE MARSHAL MUST FILL IN AND SEND WITH THE GRADING/RECORD CARD AN MSA NATIONAL MARSHAL’S REGISTER FORM.
Also note if your personal details such address etc change the one of these forms needs filling in and sending to Paul Sutcliffe, the Club’s Membership Secretary.
I shall be unable to process any upgrade unless it is accompanied by said form.On your grading/record card please ensure you have the correct signatures for the duty carried out, sufficient number of Training Day signatures and most importantly an “on post” assessment.
Also can you please return the badge that you currently have so it may be reused. The badges are quite expensive and by reusing obviously we will reduce the club’s expenditure. If you have any further queries concerning grades then please see either the club’s website or that of the MSA. If neither of these can help then please contact your Regional Grading Officer.Brain Poulter.
