The Flag Marshal sees a return to the grading structure this year and now sits as a progression from Experienced Marshal, alongside the route to Incident Officer and/or Post Chief.
In order to upgrade to Flag Marshal you need to already hold Experienced Marshal grade and then complete 10 days of duty as flag and an assessment by an Examining Post Chief - plus one training day for flag marshals which includes Flag, Report Writing, Communications and Leadership.
For those Marshals who previously held the 'old school' Flag Grade - you can request for this to be taken into consideration and apply for the transfer to the new grade by contacting the Grading Officer and providing proof of previous award, as well as completing the MSA registration form.
