WELCOME

Welcome to the South Mids Region of the BMMC. The following links will take you to information about marshalling in the South Mids Region, whether you are an existing member, a new marshal, a driver interested in obtaining a signature for marshalling or an organiser looking for marshals I hope this information will be of help to you. We are always looking for ways we can improve our service so any comments or feedback on the usefulness of this site would be welcome.

Chris Whitlock, Chairman South Mids Region.

THE SOUTH MIDS REGION COMMITTEE

THE REGION

A large number of South Mids members are interested in Circuit Racing with Silverstone, Mallory Park, Rockingham and Pembrey being located within the region and Donington Park, Castle Coombe and Snetterton on the periphery. We have a strong interest in Karting with three principle circuits in the region; Shenington, Whiton Mill and Rissington and an active Rally marshalling section through the BRMC. The Cotswolds in the South of the region are a favourite playground for sporting car trials and the BMMC is actively involved in hill climbs and sprints, although perhaps not to a great degree in South Mids.

On the social side we organise regular "Noggin & Natter" evenings at the White Horse PH Silverstone where you can meet drivers and motorsport personalities and we also arrange the occasional factory visit - see NEWS for details of future events.

GETTING STARTED - VOLUNTEERING

Getting Started - Volunteering.doc

Getting Started - Volunteering.pdf

Interested in becoming a marshal? We recommend that you come along to an event, whether circuit racing, karting or rallying and see what marshalling is all about. We will aim to explain to you what is going on and the various ways you can get involved. The quickest way to find out if you enjoy it is to take part. Why not volunteer for a "a day on the bank" or in the forest experience, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

BMMC / BRMC members can volunteer for any event, we can provide contacts for some foreign events. Please contact Competitions Secretary David Britain (see Getting Started - Volunteering links above) or for rallies please contact Rally Rep Paul Sansom. New members also please contact New Members Liasion Chris Ansell.
