Training

The British Motorsport Marshals Club provides both training and recognition for the different skills which marshals have.

Our biggest training push takes place at the BMMC's national training day, before the season starts, but it does not stop there. BMMC and BRMC trainers, approved by motorsport's UK governing body, the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association, or MSA, also organise events throughout the year and provide their services to other clubs.

The club's grading scheme, developed over a number of years, has formed the back bone of the overall scheme implemented by the MSA as the approved scheme for motor sport clubs across the country.

TV Presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson recently took an active role in a Fire training session at Oulton Park.

The above photogragh was taken during the Oulton Park Fire Training session held at the BTCC meeting this year.

We were delighted to receive the active support of Matt Jackson (blue jacket and jeans) and Andrew Jordan (black jacket).  Matt currently races the white ex Andy Priaulx BMW in the British Touring Car Championship and was last season's SEAT Cupra Championship winner. Andrew is the son of Mike Jordan, who himself competes in the BTCC.  Andrew races in the Renault Clio series.

Q. What is a Marshal?
