The David Leslie Trophy for 2020 has been awarded to our very own Charlotte Edwards! Well done Charlotte, a great achievement.
The David Leslie Trophy was established in memory of this multi-talented racing driver tragically killed in a plane crash in 2008. The trophy is one of David Leslie’s racing helmets, donated to the club by his family, and is awarded to a cadet marshal for outstanding performance of duties.
Jayne Poston, our BMMC Midlands Chair, said: “We are delighted for Charlotte to be chosen to receive the David Leslie trophy. We look forward to seeing Charlotte progress with her marshalling hobby, and will be there to support her throughout her development.”
Don’t forget – renew before 31st January and you’ll receive 50% discount!
All members welcome!

As per Nadine’s latest post, just a reminder of the following guidelines as they currently stand –
Marshals needed for the forthcoming BMMC and Lotus 7 Sprints at Curborough on Saturday August 29th and Sunday 30th respectively. Marshals are required for either or both days.
Due to the current circumstances we will not be able to accept marshals on the day, so if you are available and would like to assist, please volunteer to Steve & Julie Hill as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday 23rd August. You can also volunteer on the BMMC Volunteering website.
In accordance with UK Motorsport’s requirements a Covid-19 Event Official has been appointed, and they will be in touch with all marshals in plenty of time before the events. If you have any questions please contact via Steve & Julie.
Check your inboxes for the latest MMP – if you don’t see it, check your Junk folder. If you still don’t see it, have you subscribed? Has your email address changed? Get in touch with our Members Secretary Derek Murphy m.members@marshals.co.uk to check and make any amendments.

Hi All! It is nearly time for the Summer 2020 Newsletter and I was thinking it would be a great opportunity to get an insight of how people are enjoying/coping with lockdown and a lack of Motorsport at the moment.
I am looking for your photos of how you’re spending your lockdown / coping with no motorsport.
If you would like to be included in the newsletter, please send your photos to m.news@marshals.co.uk. Thank you!
