{"id":213,"date":"2016-07-27T23:29:33","date_gmt":"2016-07-27T22:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshals.co.uk\/southmidlands\/?page_id=213"},"modified":"2026-01-06T11:32:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T11:32:33","slug":"training","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marshals.co.uk\/southmidlands\/training\/","title":{"rendered":"Training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Circuit Training &#8211; Sunday 8 February 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am delighted to advise that BMMC South Midlands will be providing training at <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/bZUDuGevCjvEdm8U7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Redbourn School in Ampthill<\/a> on Sunday 8 February 2025.\u00a0 If you wish to attend, whether to maintain grade or for signatures to upgrade, please complete the link: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfp3Z8IdC_oT2uEZDokBlfO1jQI5LCDAeaI6SzZgxFk7SoLWw\/viewform?usp=header\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Training sign-up<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have applied, I will provide you with further details.&nbsp; I can advise the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Breakfast and lunch will be provided together with snacks throughout the day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dedicated MSUK trainers :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nina Fountain &#8211; Registered Marshals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dave Weston &#8211; Flags and Post Chiefs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tony Apsion &#8211; Track<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matt Turner &amp; Keith Madderson &#8211; Off-track<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alan Page &#8211; Fire, EV and First Aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fire Theory and Fire Practical will be provided for everyone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All registered and graded marshals are welcome<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All modules will be covered for all grades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dedicated first aid training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical exercises&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will be a first come first offered basis.&nbsp; Please sign up early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any queries, please drop me an email.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nina Fountain, BMMC South Midlands Training Co-Ordinator, <a href=\"mailto:sm.training@marshals.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sm.training@marshals.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kart Training &#8211; Saturday 28 February 2026 (in association with Hunts Kart Racing Club)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our 2026 Kart Training will be held at Kimbolton Kart circuit, the home of Hunts Kart Racing Club, <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/Z1xrMs9ZyaLQWjM69\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/Z1xrMs9ZyaLQWjM69\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stow Longa, Kimbolton, Huntingdon PE28<\/a> 0EY from 08: 30. The training day is open to all marshals, you don\u2019t have to be a member of BMMC or HKRC, or have any Kart experience to attend. A light lunch will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will present all modules required for grading to Kart Grade 1 and Kart Grade 2. This includes the generic training modules for Fire Theory and Fire Practical, Working Together, First on Scene and Supporting Your Peers which are applicable across all disciplines. The day has been planned so that the generic modules will be presented in the afternoon, and any marshals from other disciplines who just want to receive signatures for the generic modules will be able to attend for the afternoon only.<br>Modules for grading to Kart Grade 3 can be offered either virtually on a one-to-one basis or face-to-face on the day if sufficient people ask for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To register for the event please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:sm.training@marshals.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sm.training@marshals.co.uk<\/a> and copied to <a href=\"mailto:sm.secretary@marshals.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sm.secretary@marshals.co.uk<\/a> with your name and your contact email address and we will send you the link to the registration form.
