Dear SE member,
I would like to update you on some recent changes within the SE region to who is on the committee. We recently advertised for someone to take on the role of volunteering coordinator to take over from Tom Stanley at the AGM. There were 2 applicants for the role, and both were interviewed and both were strong candidates. At the same time our regional secretary Nick Harber decided to step down with immediate effect.
Both candidates interviewed were asked if they wished to fulfil a vacancy for regional secretary and so the following appointments were made:
Lee Edney replaces Nick Harber with immediate effect as SE secretary. Lee’s appointment will be ratified at the regional AGM.
Sean Cooper will replace Tom Stanley who will hand over to Sean from the 2026 AGM. Sean’s appointment will be ratified at the regional AGM.
I would like to thank both candidates for stepping forward and supporting the region in the day to day running for you our members.
I would like to thank both Tom and Nick for their hard work and for completing a seamless handover to the new incumbents to ensure it is business as usual for the SE region.
