South East Region of the BMMC

With the world famous Brands Hatch circuit at its heart, the South East region boasts top class national and international racing at both Snetterton and Lydden Hill as well. Our marshals come from counties including Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, and of course London.

Snetterton and Brands Hatch both have high profile circuit events such as British Touring Cars and BTRA Truck Racing, while Lydden Hill plays host to the British Rallycross. These circuits also hold many and varied club and National racing events including the classic Historics.

For those interested in more than just cars and trucks, the bikes feature heavily with ever-popular events such British Superbikes as well as the many club events. And for those interested karting, we have Buckmore Park. Many of our marshals travel to parts near and far, regularly representing the South East region at periphery circuits such as Goodwood, Silverstone, Donington, Mallory Park, Thruxton and Cadwell Park, as well as further afield.

Marshals are as diverse a group of people as you will ever find, and we welcome new marshals, both men and women, from all walks of life, all age groups and all nationalities. The marshalling community is incredibly social, and there is plenty of opportunity to get together whether in the Kentagon at Brands Hatch after a long day’s marshalling, or attending one of the social events put on by the various clubs.

The BMMC is here for marshals whether old or new, helping to make the sport a safe, rewarding and enjoyable one for all.  We run a regular e-newsletter as well being active on Facebook. If you have any news, stories, comments or points of discussion that you would like to share with others in the region, then please let our team know.

Happy Marshalling!
