The John Davallou Trophy is awarded to a Brands Hatch ‘regular’ who is considered to have been a marshals’ role model over several years. K.A.S.E. (Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Experience) is a useful yardstick to use….especially the “A” for ATTITUDE

Congratulations! John Davallou Trophy
2023: Awarded to Tony Almond.
I am not nominating Tony for his role as a Post Chief. Being a Post Chief myself, I have no experience of working with him on post. My nomination recognises his role as “the voice of Race Control” where, in recent years, he has consistently been a calm, cool, and “human” voice; one always of support. Always calm and appreciative of those with whom he is communicating. In so doing, he commands the respect of Post Chiefs and no doubt of clerks in Race Control.
