Club Ambassador Helen Allen

The BMMC means a lot to me because without them I wouldn’t be able to have so much fun and be so well looked after when things don’t go quite the way they should. Therefore I am delighted to be a Brand Ambassador to give my thanks and respect to you all.”

I have been involved in motorsport for most of my life, taken to Silverstone regularly as a child by my parents. The first time my husband, Brian, took me out after we met in Menorca was to a British Superbike meeting at Oulton Park in 1980.

I competed in my first race at Castle Combe in our Ford Fiesta XR2i (nicknamed Fed) in 1996, sharing the car with Brian, racing in the 750 MC Hot Hatch Series, Toyo Tyres Saloon Car Championship, Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship and the Northern Saloon Car Championship.

I finally bought my own Ford Fiesta Zetec SE (George – named in honour of Brian’s Dad) in 2011 which I raced in the CNC Heads Championship still with its original 1400cc road engine.

After some developments on the car including a new 1600cc engine, I won my class in the 2015 season, remaining in the top three in the class in subsequent seasons.
